Installation

Requirements

HurryTimer works with WordPress version 4.0 or greater, and php version 5.4 or greater.

Installing Hurrytimer

There are two ways to install the Hurrytimer plugin.

Via WordPress.org:

  1. Click here to download the plugin.
  2. In the WordPress dashboard, navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins > Add New.
  3. Click Upload Plugin, and choose the zip file you have download.

Via the WordPress dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Plugins > Add New
  2. In the search field, enter HurryTimer and choose HurryTimer – An urgency countdown timer for WordPress & WooCommerce, and click on Install Plugin.

Installing Hurrytimer Pro

Follow the guide below to learn how to install and activate HurryTimer Pro on your website.

  1. Download the HurryTimer Pro plugin by clicking on the link you received after purchase.
  2. In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Plugins > Add New. Choose the zip file you’ve just downloaded. Click on Install and activate the plugin.
  3. To activate your license key, navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins. Search HurryTimer Pro. Enter your license key and click on Activate (see screenshot below).

Creating your first campaign

Getting started

To get started, in the WordPress dashboard, navigate to HurryTimer > Add Campaign.

Regular campaign

Regular campaign expires on a specific deadline for all visitors.

  1. Click on the Schedule tab.
  2. Choose Regular mode.
  3. Enter deadline in End date & time field.
  4. Click on Save to save the campaign.
  5. Now you copy the generated shortcode and paste anywhere in your website.

Evergreen campaign

Evergreen campaign expires after a specific duration for each vistor.

  1. Click on the Schedule tab.
  2. Choose Evergreen mode.
  3. Enter duration in Ends after field.
  4. If you wish the countdown to be restarted automatically, select a restart option, from the Restart when expired dropdown.
  5. Click on Save to save the campaign.
  6. Now you can copy the generated shortcode and paste anywhere in your website.

Run campaign on single product page

  1. Click on the WooCommerce tab.
  2. Choose concerned products from the Products dropdown.
  3. Choose the countdown timer position from the Position dropdown.
  4. Click on Save to save the campaign.

Appearance

Change countdown timer labels

  1. Click on the Appearance tab.
  2. Click on the General tab
  3. In the Custom Labels section, enter your custom labels.
  4. Click on Save to save the campaign.

Change elements visibility

This allows you to show or hide some elements like days, hours, minutes, seconds, headline, and/or labels.

  1. Click on the Appearance tab.
  2. Click on the General tab
  3. In the Visibility section, choose which elements to display.
  4. Click on Save to save the campaign.

Customize the countdown timer’s look

This gives you a bunch of controls to create unlimited customizations for your countdown timer.

  1. Click on the Appearance tab.
  2. Click on Elements tab.
  3. Customize countdown timer.
  4. Click on Save to save the campaign.

Add your own Custom CSS

Add your CSS to every element in the countdown timer. The editor comes with syntax highlighting and error checking to help you write your code in an efficient way.

  1. Click on the Appearance tab.
  2. Click on the Custom CSS tab.
  3. Add your CSS code and see it renders live.
  4. Click on Save to save the campaign.

Note: Add.hurrytimer-campaign before classes and tags you want to target:

Create a Sticky Announcement Bar

  1. Navigate to Appearance > Elements > Sticky Bar
  2. Choose the position (bottom or top)
  3. Select on which pages to display the sticky bar. If you want to display it on all site pages, simply check the “All pages” box.
  4. Customize the appearance
  5. Enable it
  6. Click on Save to save the campaign.

Display the countdown timer on the same line as the content

  1. Navigate to Appearance > Elements > General
  2. Select Inline from the Display option.

Display the timer digit and label horizontally

  1. Navigate to Appearance > Elements > Block
  2. Select Inline from the Display option

Add a Call-to-Action button

  1. Navigate to Appearance > General > Visibility
  2. Click on Show the “Call to Action” button
  1. Navigate to Appearance > Elements > Call to Action
  2. Add the button text, link, and customize the style
